Composer, conductor, pianist and music producer, Fernández is a recognised professional in Argentina. Trained in Argentina and France, at the University of Paris. Winner of composition awards such as, among others, the UNESCO International Tribune of Electroacoustic Music. His works have been broadcast in festivals and radio stations all over the world.

He has composed music for numerous films, many of which have received various awards. He has also composed music for video dance, theatre and television.

For more than 30 years he has been working in Buenos Aires as a music producer and has been in charge of the production of more than 40 records, some of which have won different distinctions such as the Gardel Awards.

He has also made orchestral arrangements and conducted for recordings and musical performances, including the cycles for children at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

​

He is currently working on the composition of the opera Darwin en Patagonia, for which he has received important support, including an artistic residency at Yale University in 2024.
